I've heard of translated before, but the term "abridged" I haven't in my years of reading. I was so proud of myself I thought I was finally on the verge of crossing off number two on my bucket list: "To complete a thick classic lit." It was on page 142 of "The Count of Monte Cristo" when I closed the book and analyzed the front cover more thoroughly. "Translated and abridged by Lowell Bair," it read. This Is Us returned on Tuesday January 14th for the second half of season 4, so I thought it would be the perfect time to lay out my predictions of what is yet to come. What causes the fallout between Randall and them? The end of the "So Long, Marianne" episode, (S4 ep. 9) shows the now 40 year old Big Threes. Viewers are surprised to see that the whole time Rebecca was out and Randall was calling her, it wasn't Thanksgiving, it was actually August 31, 2020. Mind blow! When Rebecca asks Kevin if Randall arrived yet, he replies, "No, mom. Randall's not coming. We're not speaking to him, remember?" Is the "we're" he's referring to, Kate and him, or him, Kate, Rebecca, and Miguel? The only reasonable guess that I can think of that would cause the fall out is Rebecca's situation. If the "we're" he's referring to is Kate and him, maybe they're mad because Randall delayed on the news about their mother...

Slowly, but surely, the industry is diversifying with more people of Asian descent to the big screen. Here are some films with lead roles held by Asian-descent minorities. 1.) "Abominable" I absolutely can't wait to see this DreamWorks animated film! The movie is about a teenage girl named Yi (voiced by Chloe Bennet) who embarks on a journey with her two friends, Jin (voiced by Tenzing Norgay Trainor) and Peng (voiced by Albert Tsai), to return a Yeti to his home. Set in China, they must travel to The Himalayas. 2.) "Blinded By the Light" After watching this film, one can see why Bruce Springsteen's music is appreciated: it speaks to everyday people. Javed, played by Viveik Kalra, is a Pakistani teen living in small town Luton, where he finds comfort in the music of Springsteen while struggling with issues of racism, fitting in, and love. 'Little Women' is a movie for everyone. Based on the book by Louisa May Alcott, it is about following your dreams, sisterhood, and love. *SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD!** Appreciation                       Giving Back There are so many parts of the movie that absolutely warmed my heart! This is definitely a movie for the whole family to see because everyone can learn something from it. Greta Gerwig succeeds at painting the complexities of love and social class in such a simple manner that everyone in the family will understand. The setting of the movie, the props, and the colors were top notch. I absolutely enjoyed seeing the setting change! What signaled the change of time and mood is the colors. For example, the scene where the March sisters went to give their holiday meal to their much poverty-stricken neighbor with little children, the setting was gray and musty in contrast to the scene with Meg and her wealthy friends with the...

The spooky season is on the way which means that it's the perfect time to binge-watch Halloween movies. Be sure to add these iconic films on your to-watch (again) list! 1.)
