Driving into protesters, arresting journalists, tear-gassing peaceful protesters, and now, knocking down a 75-year-old man?! This is just DESPICABLE.
Two Buffalo Police officers were suspended without pay after knocking down a 75-year-old man that left him bleeding from the head in front of Buffalo City Hall during a protest on Thursday night, according to WBFO.
In a statement released on Twitter, Mayor Byron Brown of Buffalo said he was "deeply disturbed by the video."
"After days of peaceful protests and several meetings between myself, police leadership and members of the community, tonight's event is disheartening," Brown said.
It's only been a little over a week since the protests began in response to the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died shortly after a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, kept his knee pinned to Floyd's neck, yet so many instances of injustice by police have been caught on camera across the United States from arresting journalists on live air, to attacking journalists, to driving an SUV through a crowd, to tear-gassing peaceful protesters, and this is just the latest.

It can only make one wonder of how many instances are not caught on camera.
"Simply put, the officers must be held responsible for their actions, not just fired," tweeted Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo weighed in by describing the incident as "wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful."
The man is in serious but stable condition at Erie County Medical Center according to Poloncarz.
